Surf Yip Yip

Yip Yip - Port Mac Yip Yip features a reef break with sharp coral and rocky bottom, offering both right and left-hand waves. The spot is best surfed during mid to high tide, particularly on a rising tide, and can produce serious conditions in larger swells. Located just east of Port Mac, access is straightforward via Eight Mile Creek Road, with a quick walk of less than 5 minutes to the surf. The area remains relatively uncrowded during the week, with only a few surfers on weekends. Caution is advised due to the shallow reef, making it essential to be aware of the conditions before paddling out. This spot is ideal for experienced surfers looking for a challenging session in a picturesque setting.
