Tura Reef - Australia Tura Reef features powerful left-breaking waves over a sharp coral and rocky bottom. The spot is unsurfable at low tide and works best at mid tide during a falling tide with swells from the east and northeast. Access requires a 15-30 minute bush walk and a climb down a rocky face. This remote surf spot is characterized by hollow, fast, and ledgey waves, making it suitable for experienced surfers. With minimal crowds during the week and weekends, Tura Reef offers a secluded surfing experience. However, caution is advised due to the presence of sharp rocks. Ideal wind directions are from the southwest, east, and northeast, enhancing the wave quality.
