Surf Sheringa

Sheringa - South Australia Sheringa features a powerful left point break over a sharp reef, ideal for experienced surfers. The wave is best during mid tide with rising and falling conditions, working optimally in small swells and E-NE winds. Access requires a 4x4 vehicle, and a short walk (5-15 minutes) leads to the surf spot. This remote beach, located near Elliston, offers an exhilarating experience with its deep-water barrels. While it can get crowded on weekends, weekdays see fewer surfers. Be cautious of local hazards such as rips, rocks, and sharks. The area is also known for its fishing opportunities, making it a dual-purpose destination for adventure seekers. Sheringa is renowned for its thick-lipped waves, primarily attracting bodyboarders, and is considered one of the best left-handers in South Australia.
