Surf Sand Spit

However, it can be challenging to paddle out on big days, and wind swells are generally unfavorable. Located within Montana De Oro State Park, access is straightforward. Visitors can park at the designated lot and enjoy a short walk (5-15 minutes) to the beach. The spot works at all tides, with rising and falling tide movements. While it can get blown out, surfers can often find less crowded peaks by walking down the beach. Typically, there are few surfers during the week and weekends, making it an appealing choice for those seeking a more tranquil surf experience.
