The waves are characterized as hollow, fast, powerful, and fun, making it ideal for intermediate surfers. Access is straightforward via Highway 101, with a short 5-15 minute walk from parking. Often referred to as the "Queen of the Coast," Rincon offers a stunning backdrop and a vibrant surf culture. While it can get crowded, especially on weekends with over 150 surfers, the atmosphere remains relatively mild in terms of localism. The best conditions occur during autumn and winter months when swells are consistent, particularly at mid and high tide during falling tide movements.
