Surf pump rock

Pump Rock - Bombo Headland Pump Rock features a powerful left point break over a boulder bottom, delivering hollow and ledgey waves. Located just off Bombo Headland, it offers instant access with a short walk of less than 5 minutes. The ideal conditions occur at mid tide with rising and falling tides, complemented by a southeast swell and northwest winds. This surf spot can be unpredictable, with banks at each end that can break hard when the swell is right. While it generally attracts few surfers during the week, weekends can get crowded. Be cautious of localism, as the locals can be protective of their waves. Additionally, watch out for urchins and rocks in the water. If conditions are flat, it’s advisable to move on, as Pump Rock is best when the surf is pumping.
