Surf Monument

Monument - South Australia Monument is a right-hand point break with a sharp reef bottom, known for its high-performance waves. The spot is accessible via a 15-30 minute walk from a designated parking area near a massive salt lake, located between Port Lincoln and Elliston. It works best on a rising tide and is suitable for all tides. This wave is renowned for its powerful barrels, making it a favorite among experienced surfers. However, caution is advised due to the potential for rogue clean-up sets, which can make entry and exit challenging, especially during larger swells. The surrounding area is relatively uncrowded, providing a serene surfing experience. Be sure to scout the conditions before paddling out, as the wave can be both epic and dangerous.
