Surf Midgets

Midgets - Gordon Head, Canada Midgets features a sandbar wave that breaks both right and left over a sandy bottom interspersed with rocks. The wave is generally considered powerless, making it suitable for beginners and longboarders. Access is easy, with less than a 5-minute walk from the parking area at Mount Doug. This spot, named after the late Roy Hobbs, offers a nice atmosphere but can be crowded at times due to localism. The best conditions occur with a southeast swell and wind from the southeast. While the wave is slow and fun, surfers should be cautious of the rocky areas and the local surf culture. Midgets is typically empty during the week, providing a more relaxed surfing experience.
