Lymans - Hawaii Lymans is a left-hand reef break characterized by fast and powerful waves over a rocky coral bottom. The spot is located along the coast road out of Kona, easily accessible with a short walk from parking. Be cautious of the sharp rocks and urchins in the water. This popular surf destination attracts both longboarders and SUP enthusiasts, especially during summer when S and SW swells wrap in. While it can get crowded, particularly on weekends, the wave offers a fun session for intermediates. Optimal conditions occur with east winds, but surfers should monitor tide levels as they can affect wave quality. Respect the locals, and you’ll find camaraderie in the lineup.
