La Graciosa - Canary Islands
La Graciosa features a powerful right point break over a reef with sharp rocks and sand. The waves are known for their hollow and ledgey characteristics, creating an intense surfing experience. Access requires a ferry from Lanzarote, followed by a long walk (over 30 minutes) to reach the spot.
The atmosphere at La Graciosa is hardcore, reminiscent of Hawaiian surf. Surfers are advised to wait for the first waves of the set to pass, as they help to clear the water over the sharp rocks. An incredible barrel section awaits, reminiscent of the famous Pipeline. Additionally, a solid left can be found 200 meters down the beach. The area is generally uncrowded during the week and offers camping right in front of the surf spot. However, caution is necessary due to potential dangers such as urchins, rips, and rocks.
