Located just a quick drive from San Diego, Baja Malibu offers a long stretch of beach suitable for surfers of all skill levels. While it can produce incredible waves, especially from October to January, the surf can also be inconsistent. The spot tends to be uncrowded during the week but can attract a few surfers on weekends. Be cautious of rips and pollution, and prepare for a mix of local riders, as the vibe can become aggressive at times.
