Surf Astillero

Astillero - Nicaragua Astillero features a point break with both right and left waves, breaking over flat rocks and sand. The spot is accessible via a short walk (5-15 minutes) from Popoyo, where guides can be found to navigate the 15 kilometers to the village. It works at all tides, with powerful and ordinary wave conditions. El Astillero is a beach break situated near a rivermouth, providing a relaxed atmosphere for surfers. While not a top-tier location, it offers decent waves and is generally uncrowded during the week. The mix of sand and rocks requires caution, especially in the lineup. Although it can occasionally attract more surfers, it remains a fun choice for those seeking a day on the water in a tranquil setting.
