Located in Italy, the site record is 71.4 km. The takeoff point, known as Startplatz Oberhof, is managed by the Flyart paragliding school. It is accessible by car, and during spring, you can catch good thermals on favorable days. Always obtain takeoff permission at Oberhof, especially when the grass is high.

The Gitschberg offers multiple takeoff options and is an excellent starting point for cross-country flights along the Pustertal valley. The summit is exposed and provides a stunning view of the Dolomites. Ski & Fly is well-suited here. In winter, the summit takeoff is accessible via the cable car and chairlift. During summer and after the ski season, you typically need to hike from the mid-station and take off from the ski slope. If the lift is not operating, you can hike up from Kieneralm (road between Meransen and Weitental). Reaching the landing site in Meransen from halfway up requires thermals. In Meransen, land only on mowed fields.
Pilots from the Batflyers Weitental club and the Flyart paragliding school take off from the east side of the mountain at 'Oberhof' (ensure to ask for takeoff permission at Oberhof) and use the thermals from there. The landing site at Lanerhof in Weitental is approached from the southeast takeoff point.
