The launch for paragliding pilots is very challenging (cliff launch). Only pilots with extensive flying experience and excellent wing handling skills are allowed to launch here. A mandatory briefing and the presence of a club member are required. Pilots must lift off before the edge; otherwise, the launch must be aborted. Conditions and flying skills must be impeccable. Landing is only permitted in the designated landing area. Be aware of valley winds. New guest flight regulations have been in place since 2015.
There is ample setup space for multiple hang gliders, and top landing is possible. A mobile ramp is available, which is set up only during club operations, meaning guest pilots can only fly when club members are present. The ramp is very short (3 meters).
For hang gliders, there is a mobile ramp with a short takeoff run at the launch site. The launch for paragliding pilots is very demanding. Landing area: A relatively small meadow surrounded by trees, directly on the access road to the launch site (windsock) - Elevation: 510 meters. Only one approach direction for hang gliders is possible, with uphill landing in tailwind conditions.
