Description
Located in Switzerland, this paragliding site offers an elevation of 1560 meters with a height difference of 840 meters. It is occasionally used and suitable for easy, enjoyable flights with some potential for cross-country flying. The site record is 4.9 km.
The landing zone is at Seewelen (Erlenbach) at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. You can reach the take-off point by car via a paved road to Huus, with a permit required (CHF 8 for cars, CHF 40 for buses). Permits can be obtained at the signpost at the end of Balzenberg, at the left house. The take-off area is beginner-friendly with plenty of space for setup.
The take-off point is oriented south and is a medium-steep meadow, making it easy for beginners. There is no cable car available, but the take-off point is just a 2-minute walk from the parking area. To get there, drive from Erlenbach to Balzenberg, then continue towards Vorderstocken until you reach the large forest clearing.
