Conditions Optimales
Description
Treisberg, located in the Hochtaunus region of Germany, is a notable paragliding site for the NW wind direction towards Finsternthal. With an elevation of 564 meters and a height difference of 175 meters, it offers good soaring conditions and reliable thermals, especially in the afternoons when the sun heats the western slope. However, it is not typically used for cross-country flights.
The large meadow at Treisberg is suitable for multiple pilots to practice ground handling. However, due to agricultural use, access to the meadow is restricted during May and June when the grass is tall.
Important regulations for the launch site include:
1. No parking or driving vehicles to the launch site; use the public parking at the village edge.
2. The launch site, being agricultural land, is off-limits from May to June until the grass is mowed.
3. Only pilots are allowed on the meadow; no picnics or dogs are permitted.
