Description
Castle Tower Takeoff, located at an elevation of 1183 meters, is a launch site reserved for experienced acro pilots, particularly during the Yelmo competitions. This site is known for its challenging conditions and is not recommended for casual or beginner pilots. The takeoff point is situated at the top of the Segura de la Sierra Castle in Andalusia, Spain, and is used during the International Air Festival of El Yelmo (FIA).
The site is famous for hosting the Monumental Acro show, where top acro pilots like Raúl Rodríguez, Félix Rodríguez, Horacio Llorens, Tim Alongi, Javi 'Malaguita', Marvin Ogger, Sebastian Kahn, Tom de Dordolot, and Juan Luis Morales showcase their skills. The extreme nature of this launch makes it a must-see for adrenaline enthusiasts and a highlight of the FIA.
