Description
Dolní Morava is a frequently used paragliding site with good soaring conditions and potential for cross-country (XC) flights. The launch site is located at an elevation of 1070 meters above sea level (MSL) with a height difference of 380 meters. The wind direction suitable for takeoff ranges from 270° to 330°.
The takeoff area is directly on a steep ski slope, approximately 50 meters wide, near the Poma ski lift. The left side of the slope is bordered by the lift. For landing, pilots need to fly left towards the south.
To reach the launch site, the shortest route is through the town of Králíky to the village of Červený Potok. In this village, turn left towards Dolní Morava. After passing through the village, you will find a large parking lot at the bus terminal. On the right side of this parking lot, you can clearly see the mountain hotel Prometheus and the ski slope with the lift above it.
