Description
Located at an altitude of 1573 meters, this paragliding site in East Tirol, Austria, is known for its frequent use and excellent soaring conditions. Occasionally, it also offers opportunities for cross-country flights. The site is easily accessible, but parking is practically non-existent. Therefore, it's recommended to either hike up, arrange for a driver, or coordinate with a local flight school.
The site is a designated training ground, making it ideal for beginners looking to gain flight experience and work towards obtaining their paragliding license. For more information, you can visit the local flight school, BlueSky: [BlueSky Flight School](http://www.bluesky.at).
The launch area is a grassy field, and it is sometimes known to offer pleasant surprises, especially in the afternoons or when there is an east valley wind. To reach the launch site, follow the road from Kirche/Sillian to the last houses. The paragliding launch site is approximately 150 meters west of Schuistelhof, while the hang gliding launch site is just a few meters northeast of the farm.
Although you can drive up to the site, parking is very limited. It's better to wait at the landing area for the flight school and ask for a ride up.
