Staletti is a paragliding site with a takeoff height of 301 meters, considered medium in altitude. While there are no flight logs available, it is occasionally used by paragliders. For more details, you can contact info@paraglidingspots.com. This location offers excellent soaring opportunities high above the sea when the Scirocco wind (southeast wind) is blowing. During moderate wind conditions, thermals can form in front of the takeoff area, allowing pilots to gain altitude. Due to the rugged terrain, it is important to maintain sufficient distance from the slope while flying. In favorable conditions, you can enjoy smooth soaring along the ridge above the beach in the laminar sea breeze. The area also allows for easy top landing. This is the preferred takeoff spot when the wind is strong. Directions: - Take the SS 106 exit for Staletti. - Follow SS 106 from Catanzaro Lido towards Soverato. - Head towards Staletti, driving up the switchbacks until you reach the prominently visible red and white RAI antenna. Park in front of the gate without blocking the passage. - Walk through the gate, past the small house, and through the olive grove to reach the takeoff area.
