Description

This paragliding site in Germany has a height of 270 meters and a horizontal distance of 100 meters. It is regularly used for soaring flights. The wind direction is primarily from the south to southwest. The site is managed by the Pfälzer Gleitschirmclub e.V. and requires an A-License with a site briefing for flying. Training or trial flights are not permitted here. There is an airspace restriction to the west due to the Baumholder restricted area. The site is active from Monday 0:00 GMT to Saturday 12:00 GMT. Pilots are advised to park on the meadow behind the take-off area, ensuring that agricultural vehicles can pass without obstruction. The landing area is directly below the take-off spot but is challenging to approach due to a 2-meter high fence that must be flown over during the final approach. The take-off is from a forest clearing, and strong turbulence can occur with westerly winds, making it unsafe to fly. The ideal wind condition is when the flags in Glanbrücken are parallel to the road. The site is heavily used on weekends, with a height difference of 95 meters. Guest pilots must receive a briefing from a club member. For more details, visit the Pfälzer Gleitschirmclub website: [Pfälzer Gleitschirmclub](https://pfalzer-gleitschirm-club.business.site/).
