The take-off site is located at an elevation of 2040 meters and is rarely used. It is suitable for soaring flights. The launch area faces northwest and is considered easy in terms of difficulty.

To reach the take-off site, drive from Val d'Illiez to La Crete and Soi until you are approximately 150 meters below Signal de Soi. From there, it is a 20-minute walk to the launch area, which is a moderately steep meadow.
