Description
The take-off site is located at an altitude of 1330 meters above sea level with a height difference of 530 meters. The wind direction suitable for this site ranges from 50° to 110°. This location is occasionally used for soaring and cross-country flights.
The launch area is situated right next to a mountain hut and is relatively short. The lower and upper ends of the launch area are bordered by a mountain road. On the left side before take-off, there is a wooden railing from the hut, which can be surrounded by curious tourists.
The most convenient way to reach the take-off site is by taking the cable car from Ramzovské sedlo. This saddle is accessible via the road from Jeseník towards Hanušovice or Králíky. The lower station of the cable car is located at the highest point of the saddle, about 200 meters to the left of the road, and is relatively hidden from passing drivers. A good landmark is Hotel Lucie, where you need to turn left.
The cable car to Šerák consists of two sections. The first section ends at the transfer station Čerňava (which is also the take-off site for Mračná hora). The second section continues from this station and ends about 500 meters from the hut on Šerák.
