Located in Wisconsin, USA, this paragliding site offers a unique flying experience with a height of 307 meters and a height difference of 90 meters. It is occasionally used, primarily for soaring, and toplanding is considered normal here. The site overlooks the Mississippi River valley, providing smooth and consistent air flow up its south-facing bluff. This makes for a thrilling cliff launch, where pilots bring the wing up and run straight towards the drop-off, experiencing an adrenaline rush as the ground quickly falls away, revealing trees far below. The take-off area is a pleasant grassy spot with a slight slope, making it relatively easy to launch. The landing zone is spacious and suitable for paragliders, though hang gliders might need to find an alternative landing area. While it may seem like a ridge-soaring site, it also offers thermal flying opportunities during the summer months. However, due to the presence of thermals and powerlines, this site is recommended for P2 pilots and above. It is a hike-and-fly site, but there is also a road leading up to the launch area.
