The main takeoff point is the Roller Coaster Run, located above Elkhorn Cabin. This site is regularly used for thermalling, with some potential for cross-country (XC) flights. Winter flying is possible with skis or a snowboard, while summer is primarily reserved for school training. Dynamic soaring is limited due to the presence of ski lift cables, so avoid flying low over them.
The region is the Selkirks in Canada. The site record is 16.6 km.

**Important Rules:**

- Cross lifts with at least 150 feet clearance
- Only take off from designated launch sites
- No launches after 3:15 pm
- Prioritize the safety of skiers and snowboarders
- Land only at designated landing sites or the golf course if it gets too windy
- Pilots need skis or a snowboard to use the lift
**Launch Sites:**
1. **Roller Coaster Run:** The most used launch site, located beside the Champagne Express chair lift and about 50 meters above Elkhorn Cabin. It is an easy and shallow launch site accommodating up to 5 gliders facing NW.
2. **Summit "Top of the World" Run:** A narrow launch site that gets steeper, ideal for light winds from the northwest. It accommodates up to 3 wings.
3. **Summit "Roy’s" Run:** A steep, narrow launch site facing W to SW, accommodating up to 3 gliders. This site can be tricky due to the steep slope.
**Launching Tips:**
For the Roller Coaster Run, the launch is shallow, so you won't have the same initial power to inflate your glider as you would by foot. Ski into the loose lines and hold your front risers above your shoulders to inflate the wing. Keep your chest forward to create the necessary takeoff speed. Avoid pulling your brake lines immediately to prevent stalling.
**Flying Suggestions:**
Panorama is protected from south and north winds due to high mountain ridges. Light westerly winds are fine as long as they don't overpower the valley winds from the east, which are ideal for landing at the Driving Range. If west winds become too strong, land on the golf course. Be aware of sudden changes in wind speed and direction.
