Landing: The football field near the center of the town Orzola is the best place to land. SP Mirador - Schwierigkeit:mittel Höhe über NN:460 Kurz vor dem Aussichtspunkt Mirador del Rio befindet sich Rechts der Schotterweg, der um den Spot zum Startplatz führt. Access: Drive right on gravel road just before the Mirador del Rio parking for ~500m Start relativ einfach, erst flach, dann steiler werdend. Never land in the black fields (at none of the sites!), as they take a lot of effort in preparation! Es ist ein klassisches Soaringgelände. Unglaublich schön ist die 'Hang Timne' an der Steilküste. Ein kleiner Ausflüg lässt sich am Hang von 'El Risco' in südliche Gefilde veranstalten. Es existiert kein Möglichkeit 'On Top' zu landen - vorher genau Strecke und Landeplätze erkunden. Schwierigkeit Vom Atlantik kommt so einiges an Wind rüber. Wenn er stärker wird, solltet Ihr sofort runter gehen. Solltet ihr Schaumkronen auf dem Wasser sehen, könnt ihr den Flug meist vergessen, da der Wind einfach zu stark ist. Am Startplatz liegt viel Geröll. Nach dem Start erst einmal raus aufs Wasser und dann rechts die Küste entlang. Je nach Windrichtung und Stärke ist links vom Start eine Düse, die es zu meiden gilt. Mit sehr viel Höhe und dem passenden Wind kommt man auf die Nachbarinsel. Die letzte Fähre von dort nach Orzola (Landeplatz) fährt gegen 16:00 Uhr. Wissenswertes Fliegertreff:Entweder am Hafen zur Landeplatz - Besprechung, oder auf dem Berg, vor dem Weg zum Startplatz, Nähe Bergcafe "Mirador del Rio".Unterkunft:Oficina del Turisme , Tel. +34 (9)28/81 18 60 Costa Teguise - viele große Hotels über das Reisebüro Casa Verde: www.lanzarote-spezial.de (deutschsprachig)Anfahrt:Immer in Richtung Touri-Hot-Spot "Mirador del Rio". Dann kurz davor rechts aufs Feld und über die Piste Richtung Startplatz. Vorsicht, ein mit 3 Fliegern beladener Ford Focus setzt auch gerne auf der Piste auf. Viel Rinnen und Steine....Sonstiges:Aussichtspunkt mit Glaswand "Mirador del Rio", Cafe , leider ein Eintritt von 4,50€, aber so seht ihr, wie tief es runtergeht, wenn ihr in den Leerotor kommt...... Die Flugschule Heidenheim (www.paragleiter.de) hat Lanzarote als Tour für Dezember + Januar im Programm.
