Mt. Nebo, Arkansas, USA
This site offers a unique paragliding experience with opportunities for cross-country flights. However, it's not frequently used. Be cautious not to confuse this Mt. Nebo with others in the US.

**East Launch:**
- Launch Altitude: 1,740 ft
- Landing Zone (LZ) Altitude: 517 ft
- Distance to LZ: 1.5 miles
- Glide Ratio to LZ: 6.5
- Ideal Wind Direction: 85-95 degrees
- Minimum Pilot Rating: P3 for Paragliders, H3 for Hang Gliders
- Recommended Wind Limits: Min 3 mph, Ideal 6 mph, Max 18 mph, Gust 5 mph
The East launch is located at the Park's Sunrise Point. Pilots must clear a significant rock hazard immediately after launching. This site is mainly for thermal flying with some ridge soaring in east winds. Tandem flights are allowed only with sufficient wind velocity.
Primary LZ is the East LZ. The Race Track LZ is a bail-out option, and the Vernon LZ is for emergencies only. Be prepared for severe sink between launch and the LZ.
**South Launch (Hang Gliders Only):**
- Launch Altitude: 1,735 ft
- LZ Altitude: 517 ft
- Distance to LZ: 1.3 miles
- Glide Ratio to LZ: 5.7
- Ideal Wind Direction: 160-210 degrees
- Minimum Pilot Rating: H3
- Recommended Wind Limits: Min 3 mph, Ideal 10 mph, Max 20 mph, Gust 5 mph
The South launch is also at Sunrise Point. Pilots must turn east immediately after launch unless ridge soaring. This site is primarily for thermal flying with ridge soaring in south winds. Tandem flights are allowed only with sufficient wind velocity.
Primary LZ is the East LZ. Alternate LZs include Race Track LZ, Florida LZ, and Vernon LZ for emergencies. Paragliding is not approved at the South launch without instructor permission.
