This site is frequently used and offers excellent dynamic soaring and thermal flying conditions. It is also suitable for cross-country flights and serves well as a practice slope.

For long flights, you need to start close to the forest edge, which requires some practice. During busy flying times, please strictly follow the flight rules on the slope. Be cautious of tall trees and seek guidance if necessary. South winds can cause turbulence at the launch site.
Meeting Point: The club house at the launch site. Pilots gather here, especially on the last Friday of every month for the 'Fliegerstammtisch' meeting.
Accommodation: Camping or staying in a caravan/mobile home is possible at the launch site.
Directions: From A4 Kirchheimer Dreieck (A7) - Gotha, take the Eisenach-Mitte exit (39a), turn left towards Mühlhausen to Mihla, then right towards Lauterbach. In Lauterbach, turn left towards Harsberg for about 3 km. Pass the hiking parking lot and youth hostel, then drive up to the barrier.
