Description
The Michelsberg site in Münnerstadt, Germany, is occasionally used and offers good soaring conditions with strong southwest to west winds. Due to the shape of the slope, it is only partially suitable for thermal flying. Nearby, you can find the ruins of a historic chapel. This site is exclusively for pilots with a B-license.
Take-off direction is southwest to west. Access is on foot via a narrow path along the edge of the slope. Note that the take-off is a clearing start, and there is no direct vehicle access. Parking is available at the landing site or in the nearby town. After take-off, pilots should turn right to enter the lift band.
