Be cautious with moderate to strong Bise winds; thermal conditions can lead to strong valley winds. Once the valley wind sets in, you must catch the thermals, or you won't make it to the landing zone.
Transport:
With the Freie Flieger Frutigland club bus or the Cloud-7 bus. If driving yourself, you need to obtain a permit from the machine. Park at the end of the paved road. Guest flight schools also park there and walk the last 10 minutes. No parking allowed at the take-off area.
Take-off:
The take-off area is perfect and easy terrain-wise. Avoid stepping on tall grass in June/July. Expect strong updrafts in the afternoon.

Frutigen airfield. Usually strong valley winds. Please pay a landing fee of CHF 2 at the hangar.
