On the road between Novo Selo and Peshtera, there are two hills. The southern hill, which has a GSM antenna and a rocky dirt road, is most commonly used for flying. This hill is suitable for training.
It is good for soaring flights with an east wind, which is often a local phenomenon in the afternoons during the warmer half of the year. At the eastern base of the hill, there are mushroom farms. If you smell yeast at the takeoff point, the wind is suitable for soaring.
With northwest winds, soaring and thermal flying are possible, but thermals are extremely rare, likely due to the influence of the Rhodope Mountains. Additionally, northwest winds are often turbulent.
