Parapente Hochfirst

Hochfirst in Germany is a popular paragliding site known for its soaring and thermal flying opportunities, with potential for cross-country flights. The site offers a stunning view of the Black Forest and Titisee. Pilots have nearly 400 meters of altitude to work with. Access is via a paved forest road leading to a guesthouse near the antenna, with the launch site located just below the antenna. The landing zone is in Titisee. Launches are only recommended with westerly winds, and caution is advised in side wind conditions. The site has been home to the D'Wälder Drachenflieger for 30 years, and since 2010, it has been officially open for paragliding after the launch corridor was expanded in 2008. The launch direction is west, making it suitable for west and northwest winds, often even in the evenings. Access is from Neustadt station towards Hochfirst.
