Description
This site, located in Oppland, Norway, features a hang gliding ramp but is also suitable for paragliders. There are several alternative takeoff points nearby for paragliders. Cross-country flights are possible from this location.
The takeoff is situated outside the cabin area at 'Kampen'. The designated landing zone is in the field near the irrigation ponds. Please drive slowly and park considerately both at the takeoff and landing areas, as there is no designated parking in the field. The cabin owner requests that we limit our activity when they are present. If the cabin is occupied, it might be best to choose a different takeoff site for the day to maintain a good relationship with the owner. We ask everyone to be considerate when parking and setting up. If in doubt, please contact us.
The ramp faces south. Be cautious of turbulence and rotor in westerly winds. On days when the main wind direction is not from the south, it is advisable to start early, as tailwinds typically begin around 13:30, making takeoff difficult.
