Description
At an altitude of approximately 1326 meters, this site is primarily used as a training slope for altitude flights. No flight logs have been found for this location.
The launch area, known as 'Skischanze,' is restricted to the area west of the old ski jump, with a maximum of 100 meters above the path and 50 meters distance from the forest. Access to the slope with flight equipment must be direct from the path to protect valuable vegetation. Care must be taken to avoid creating 'trample paths' or causing damage to the vegetation.
Flights can only be conducted after coordination with the site holder. Pilots must be briefed by the site holder on the specific characteristics of the terrain before their first flight. A survey of the landing area is required before the initial flight.
In conditions of gusty winds and potential turbulence due to the location of the launch areas in forest clearings, launches are not permitted. From the 'Wiesenquelle' launch area, flights are not allowed if the wind exceeds 10 km/h.
The B 317 road, which passes near the landing area, must be overflown with a minimum altitude of 50 meters above ground. Pilots must be informed by the site holder about the trees and associated turbulence risks in the landing area.
