At an altitude of 2008 meters, this paragliding site is occasionally used, primarily for morning or late morning flights. It's ideal if you have ample time for hiking but limited thermal prospects. However, on good days, it offers excellent cross-country (XC) flying opportunities.
This site serves as an alternative takeoff option among many. It requires a 45-minute hike from the top of the cable car. The hike is beneficial for fitness, but if conditions aren't favorable, it only adds about five more minutes to your flight. On good days, you might prefer to start from a lower altitude.
Fanas is particularly recommended in the spring, and on exceptional days, you might not need to start from this higher point. The area is generally calm, and the cows in the vicinity are not much of a disturbance.
