Paragliding El Cujon Los Collados

Elevation: 1535 m This site is rarely used but offers good potential for cross-country (XC) flights. It is suitable for hike & fly enthusiasts. Orientation: Southeast Access to the launch site: From the road that goes from Riópar to Hellín, you will find a village signposted as El Pardal on the right. About 100 meters before this village, you will see some houses and a wide, straight path on the right. Follow this path, taking all right turns, and after about 10 km, you will reach a clearing on the left with views of the village of Los Collados. The launch site is good with a bit of breeze. The landing area at the top is excellent, while the bottom landing is more technical due to its slope. It is not recommended for beginners, but anyone who can make a good approach will have no problems. There are several good fields for landing. The landing area is just above the village of Los Collados, in an uncultivated elongated clearing parallel to the slope. Be cautious of the olive plantations, as they are recent and not easily visible from the air. The large slope and the possibility of switching valleys for a small cross-country flight add a lot of charm to this site.
