This site is rarely used. It offers some opportunities for soaring and limited cross-country (XC) flying.
The trail to the launch site starts directly south of the takeoff area. For landing, use the tractor paths near the field south of the launch. Both the landing zone and the path to the launch site pass through private property. There is no formal agreement for access to the launch or landing areas, so please be respectful and courteous.
There is no windsock or similar indicator at the launch site, but it should be obvious where a suitable takeoff spot is as you walk along the trail. The northwest launch is slightly west of the main launch area, over a fence. Be prepared for some lee-side flying to reach the landing zone if you can't gain enough altitude.
