Description
Cloudburst Mountain, located in the Sea to Sky region, offers a unique paragliding experience. With an elevation ranging from 1717 to 1860 meters and a height difference of approximately 1700 meters, it provides a challenging yet rewarding hike & fly opportunity. This site is rarely used, making it a hidden gem for those looking for a quieter adventure. Cross-country flights are possible, and there are many takeoff options available. Toplanding and vol bivouac are also feasible here.
For more detailed information on the hiking route, you can refer to Matt Gunn’s "Scrambles in SW British Columbia." The route is straightforward and does not require special planning. Snowshoes might be beneficial for the hike, especially if you go early in the season when the forestry roads in Chance Creek are still covered in snow.
