Paragliding Chincilla 2 Escalón

Located at an approximate altitude of 909 meters, this paragliding site offers a height difference of 40-80 meters. It is primarily a ridge soaring site with ample landing fields. If the fields are cultivated, it's advisable to land before reaching them or on a path perpendicular to the ridge. Top landing is possible, and while distance flights can be attempted, they are less common due to the modest height difference. General Description: The site is oriented towards the southeast (SE) and east (E). The height difference ranges from 40 to 80 meters. Despite the small height difference, it is possible to fly here. The ridge extends approximately 1.5 kilometers. Takeoffs: 1. Escalón (E) - Coordinates: Latitude 38.927074, Longitude -1.689173 - Altitude: 904 meters - Orientation: East (E) - Height Difference: 40-50 meters 2. Principal (SE) - Coordinates: Latitude 38.933744, Longitude -1.682224 - Altitude: 915 meters - Orientation: Southeast (SE) - Height Difference: 60-80 meters Access: To reach the takeoff, take the A31 towards Alicante. After passing Chinchilla, take the next exit towards Estación de Chinchilla-Horna. Turn left at the first intersection, pass under the highway, continue straight, then turn left at the end and immediately right towards the Campo de Maniobras. Continue for about three kilometers on the path, where you will find a parking area on the left and the takeoff site on the ridge in front of you. Important Note: There is a military zone to the right of the ridge, marked by a fence ascending the slope. It is strictly prohibited to fly over or cross this area. It is best to maintain a safe distance and avoid approaching the fence as much as possible.
