Description

Located in Castilla la Mancha, Spain, this paragliding site offers a modest elevation of 932 meters with a height difference of approximately 55 meters. It is rarely used, and pilots seldom log their flights here. However, it does offer some thermal soaring opportunities and the possibility of top landing. The site features easy takeoff conditions, making it suitable for school flights. The general orientation for takeoff is towards the southeast (SE) and east (E). The elevation differences range from 40 to 80 meters, making it primarily a ridge soaring site. There are ample landing fields, but if they are cultivated, it is advisable to land before the fields or on a path perpendicular to the ridge. Landing at the takeoff point is also feasible. Distance flights are possible but less common due to the small elevation difference. For more information, you can visit [Zonas de Vuelo](http://www.zonasdevuelo.com/zonasvuelo.html?fz=116). After passing Chinchilla, take the next exit towards Estación de Chinchilla-Horna. Turn left at the first intersection, pass under the highway, continue straight, then turn left and immediately right towards the Campo de Maniobras. Continue for about three kilometers along the path, where you will find a parking area on the left and the takeoff point on the ridge in front of you. Note: There is a military zone to the right of the ridge, marked by a fence ascending the slope. It is strictly prohibited to fly over or cross this area. It is best to maintain a safe distance and avoid approaching the fence.
