Montalin, Calanda, Brambruesch, and Dreibündenstein are some of the prominent starting points for flights towards Engadin or the Vorderes Rheintal (Flims, Disentis).
Calanda is not just a favorite brew of the Bündner. The Calanda is a mountain range in the northern part of the canton of Graubünden and the southern part of the canton of St. Gallen, northwest of Chur. It belongs to the northern limestone Alps and forms the easternmost end of the Glarus Alps.
The Calanda ridge consists of a series of peaks stretching from southwest to northeast. The southwestern corner is marked by the Taminser Calanda (2390 meters above sea level), followed by Felsberger Calanda (2697 meters above sea level), Haldensteiner Calanda (with 2806 meters above sea level, the highest peak of the group), and finally Berger Calanda (2270 meters above sea level) as the northeastern corner.
