Description
Located in the Veneto region of Italy, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 1420 meters with a height difference of 200 meters. It is occasionally used, especially since the closure of the landing zone. The site is suitable for soaring and cross-country flights, with various natural takeoff options available. Toplanding is possible and relatively easy, making it a relaxed flying experience, mostly in the southwest direction. However, there are no official landing zones, and only a few options are available for landing below.
Pilots should be aware of the nearby airspace regulations, particularly with the CTR Aviano, as a military airport is located to the east. Typically, flights to the east are allowed on weekends but restricted during weekdays.
Monte Barbari serves as an excellent alternative to Bassano, with access by car. The takeoff directions include south, southwest, and southeast, making it an ideal starting point for cross-country flights along the Venetian Alps in both eastern and western directions. Always check for any flight restrictions before planning your trip.
