At an elevation of 2,466 meters, this launch site is rarely used. While it is possible to start and engage in cross-country flying from here, there are simpler options available along the Goms racing track.
The take-off point is situated at 2,440 meters and does not have a cable car service. The coordinates for the location are 8.22724705, 46.48822706. The hike to the launch site takes approximately 165 minutes from Reckingen, following the road to Bächigalen (travel at your own risk). The launch area is a moderately steep meadow, offering excellent thermals most of the time, but it is recommended only for experienced pilots.
The take-off window is oriented towards the southeast and is of medium difficulty.
