The takeoff point, Inokashira Takeoff, is situated at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level with GPS coordinates N35°22′21.20″ E138°32′48.20″. The takeoff area has a 10° slope and can accommodate up to three paragliders at a time. The direction for takeoff is east. A shuttle service is available to transport pilots from the landing area back to the takeoff point, which takes about 10 minutes. The site is known for good soaring conditions, with thermal soaring accounting for 50% of flights, ridge soaring for 30%, and sled rides for 20%.
