Otherwise choppy water with SE. Beach type & size: Sand, Pebbles, Stones - Big Infos: 1 km long beach, just pebbles and stones. At low tide the beach is sandy closest to the water. Be careful when launching and landing kites. Identified hazards: Stones Beachgoer: None Weather specificities: Warmer air, around 25C all year. Winter a bit colder. 3 mm wetsuit all year needed, since the water is not warm enough. Wind type: Trade Wind specificities: NE trade winds. During winter SE winds possible. Probably Gran Canarias most windy spot for kiters. If North or Northeast winds, the wind picks up well here. Add 10 knots to the forecast. In summer normally 30-40 knots. Best months: May, June, July, August, September Access description: by Car - A few kilometers south of the airport. The beach is divided between three parts: swimmers, windsurfers and kitesurfers. Kitebeach is the furthest one, you have to use one of stony road (small cars can do this). Specific rules: None Extra: Probably the best spot in Gran Canaria. Long stony beach with strong wind. Nice waves for learning but try not to get into troubles as the stones are everywhere and walking back can be painful and not easy because of strong wind.
