Description

Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert Type: Ocean Water type: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Small wave Water hazards: None Water quality: Clean Infos: On one side of land you can find sea with waves high for 1-1.5m. On the other side (South) of land there's an enormous bay - great place with shallow water - it's one of the most amazing places in Europe for any water activities. The water is so shallow that you can stand on the ground even 500m from the shore. The gulf water is quite flat. Only when it blows strong (6 Bft and more) you will find some chop. Beach type & size: Sand - Medium Infos: The best sand, very fine and soft, no rocks, no shells, no pebbles, no dangerous things in the water. The beaches are very big and wide so there is no problem with kite landing or launching. It's a bay which can be used in any wind direction if you have a car. If you don't than you can always chose between bay or see. On the sea side the beach is large enough to prepare your gear to launch - on the gulf side the situation isn't so good. It depends on which camp you are at. Very crowded in summer time. Identified hazards: None Beachgoer: July, August Weather specificities: Rather cold, you always need a wetsuit. Beginning of season from May till July: water about 15C, air up to 20C. From end of July till beginning September: water about 22C, air up to 34C. End of season: from September till October: cold water 12C, air 16C. Off-season possible, if not ice on the water, but only with very thick clothes. Wind type: Frontal Wind specificities: Generally it blows from West/Southwest directions what means side/sideonshore winds. In June and July the wind is quite stable. More stable when it blows from East (rare). When it blows from North - it's better to try surfing on the sea. Winds aren't too strong. The best winds are in May and June (often 4-5 Bft) in the middle of summer you've got to hunt for it with forecasts. At the south end N and S winds will be sideshore. Best months: May, June Access description: by Car - Airplane: Gdansk or Warsaw and then Gdansk. Bus: to Wladyslawowo. Train: to Wladyslawowo. Then a taxi, auto-stop or bus and then you have to choose which from 8 camps you prefer. In my opinion the best are number 1, than 3 and 6. First you've got to get to Gdansk or something called Trojmiasto (you have there agglomeration of 3 cities). From Gdansk you take main road to North. This road will drive you to a city called Reda. In Reda before the church turn right and follow the beacon. It's about 50/60 km from Gdansk. Specific rules: Other Extra: All IKO rules are accepted and an insurance for extreme sports is needed. Nightlife: Almost every campsite has its own beach bar. Every night (June to August) all-night-long parties - from black music to house. From time to time on some parties with star-DJs. nice atmosphere. Accommodations: Shop, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food
Popularité: 4 Vues
