But if you go from Herning you drive to Esbjerg and then there comes a sign with "Bork Havn" which you follow. From the 423 follow the signs to Bork Havn. Enter Bork Havn and follow the street until you see the harbor. Turn left and follow signs "Surfstrand" to the parking lot (free).

Infos: Just five kilometers from the center of Copenhagen you will find Amager Beach, the new city beach with enough space for all kinds of beach life. It serves a densely populated area and is extremely popular in the summer. It is a 4.6 kilometer long bathing beach divided into two parts. The beach on the mainland running along the road of Amager Strandvej and a two kilometer, man-made long island, which is connected to the mainland with three bridges. The island is divided by a point that makes it possible to give the beaches their own distinctive character. The northern part of the island has a more natural, wild beach with wide, sandy beaches and low sand dunes. A winding path takes you through the wild, northern beach down to the southern part where the city beach is. A wide pier serves as the backbone of the southern part of the island (the city beach). The pier is perfect for a nice stroll along the coast, and you can buy yourself a cup of coffee or an ice cream. The southern part of the island is rounded off with a little marina, where small boats can moor for the day. You can walk directly from the marina to the mainland, where there are two parks for recreational activities. They are called 5ren and 10ren.

About 500 meters out is Pls Rev/Pls Reef that mostly consists of rocks and mussels; both the sandbars and the reef will be exposed at ebb tide and in strong winds. These conditions make Nordals a great spot for beginners pay attention to the ocean floor. To the left of the bridge the water is deeper, but like on the right side, the seabed is covered in fine sand very far off the coast. Wave-loving kiters can find some really big ones on days with strong winds or gale.

Infos: Some 12 kilometers south-east of Haderslev, Hejsager Strand tempts kitesurfers with its large bay and deep water, which make it especially suitable for foil- and windsurfing. Parking spots and lavatories are spread out along the beach, so there is plenty of room for your family or a lot of gear. Hejsager Strand is characterised by its fine swimming conditions, so other users must be anticipated and watched out for. Safety and security has definitely been a priority here! For every approx. 700 meters, you will find an emergency telephone, an emergency triangle, a defibrillator and an emergency number sign, and you also have a great view overlooking the bay from the elongated beach. The Hejsager Strand hotspot also benefits from the open all year grillbar/take away stand at the east end of the beach, and if you feel like cooking yourself, modern permanent do-it-yourself grills are placed along the parking lots as well, and if you brought a ball, there is even a football ground; all in all, theres plenty to do when not on the water. The water off Hejsager Strand features little to no current, but it can be choppy in strong winds. Optimally, the spot is sailed in winds coming from the west to south-west and south to south-east. The wind is usually very stable because it travels over the hills behind Hejsager. The hotspot is especially suited for experienced kiters who can relaunch a kite from deeper waters and are able to go upwind, and because of the depth of the water and the general amount of traffic that must be expected here, especially during summer.

Infos: Welcome to one of the best and most well-known kitespots i all of Southern Denmark! Lillehav/Drejet on the boarder of Als and the Kegns peninsula is known for its amazing double conditions as you will find great waters both for the semi-pro surfer on the outside of the dam towards Flensborg Inlet, as well as for the first timer on the inside of the dam known as Lillehav. The water of Lillehav is hip deep far out from the coast, you have land on three sides, no current and no waves - excellent conditions for beginners and flat-water lovers, especially with winds coming from Northwest, East and Southeast. On the outside of the dam towards Flensborg Inlet you will find completely different conditions than those inside the dam. On the outside the water gets deep really quickly, currents are to be expected, and the waves are big and fun especially in onshore winds coming from southeast, but you will also enjoy the outside very much when the wind comes from north-east, east, south-east and south. This shoreline is also known as a nice swimming area so you may also encounter anglers, stand up paddle surfers etc. in the water.

After Skovby drive onto a small dam. By the campsite, which is open from the beginning of April-October, you will find both free and toll parking, and as a camper, you are of course allowed to use the many services of the campsite. Free parking is also possible at the southern end of the dam where you can also find lavatories. From this parking area there is access to both the outside and the inside of the dam, but be careful when crossing the road.

Access description: by Car - The spot is in the north of the "Flensburger Foerde" (Germany), just close to the German-Danish border. From the E45 (Germany A7) two exits from the German border or 2 exits before the German border to Sonderborg. Follow the road about 25 km over a bridge and when you see a twin church tower you will drive down a small valley and uphill again. Almost on top of that hill make a right to Brunsnaese and the museum. Follow the road until you only can drive right or left. Here you make a left and follow the signs to Brunsnaes and the museum. There should be another right turn and then you will see the sign to the museum. Here you make a right again and follow the road to the museum and to the water. Where the street meets the water you will find the mole and the spot. The area has a few parking spots, and it must be respected that the grounds by the museum are not used for launching kites or parking cars.

Infos: Flat to choppy water. Hejsager Strand is characterized by its fine swimming conditions, so other users must be anticipated and watched out for. The water off Hejsager Strand features little to no current, but it can be choppy in strong winds. The hotspot is especially suited for experienced kiters who can relaunch a kite from deeper waters and are able to go upwind, and because of the depth of the water and the general amount of traffic that must be expected here, especially during summer.

Infos: Some 12 kilometers south-east of Haderslev, Hejsager Strand tempts kitesurfers with its large bay and deep water, which make it especially suitable for foil- and windsurfing. Parking spots and lavatories are spread out along the beach, so there is plenty of room for your family or a lot of gear. Safety and security has definitely been a priority here! For every approx. 700 meters, you will find an emergency telephone, an emergency triangle, a defibrillator and an emergency number sign, and you also have a great view overlooking the bay from the elongated beach.

Weather specificities: The season goes from April to November. In that time air from spring 10-20 C, in summer up to 30 C and autumn 10-16 C. Water spring 8-13 C, summer 18-23 C, autumn 8-14 C. You always need a wetsuit. You can go out off-season but it will be very cold; a thick wetsuit or better drysuit, mask, shoes and gloves recommended.
Wind type: Frontal
Wind specificities: Any strength possible with depressions. Best winds in fall and spring. Summer lighter. Optimally, the spot is sailed in winds coming from the West to Southwest and South to Southeast. The wind is usually very stable because it travels over the hills behind Hejsager.

Access description: by Car - Take 170 south from Haderslev. Then towards Sonder Vilstrup and Kelstrup. From here to Hejsager.

Extra: The Hejsager Strand hotspot also benefits from the open all year grillbar/take away stand at the east end of the beach, and if you feel like cooking yourself, modern permanent do-it-yourself grills are placed along the parking lots as well, and if you brought a ball, there is even a football ground; all in all, theres plenty to do when not on the water.
