Surf Upham Beach

Upham Beach - St. Pete Beach, Florida Upham Beach features a right-breaking wave over a sandy bottom, primarily influenced by mid and high tides. This breakwater/jetty setup can transition from sloppy storm surf to glassy sections, although recent dredging and T-Groins have negatively impacted wave quality. Access is public and instant, located just off Blind Pass Road. As one of the better pointbreaks in West Florida, Upham Beach attracts a diverse crowd of surfers, from beginners to seasoned riders. The beach's lively atmosphere is amplified during peak surf conditions, especially from fall to spring and during hurricane swells. While the wave quality has diminished since the 80s, it remains a popular spot for shortboards, funboards, and longboards alike.
