Surf Tower Road

Tower Road - Dewey Beach, DE Tower Road features a sandy bottom with both right and left breaking waves, primarily powered by ordinary swells. The spot is easily accessible, located just south of Dewey Beach along Route 1, with instant access within 5 minutes of parking. This surf spot is ideal for locals, offering a casual atmosphere with minimal local competition. While it can get crowded on weekends, weekdays see only a few surfers. The best conditions occur during low to mid tide with rising tide movement, and it works well with swells from the Northwest and Southwest. However, surfers should be cautious of rips and undertow, especially when venturing further down the beach to find less crowded sets.
