Surf Superbanks

Superbanks - Gold Coast Superbanks is a renowned sandbar point break located at Snapper Rocks, extending to Kirra. The waves break to the right over a sandy bottom, characterized by hollow, fast, and powerful sections. This spot is ultra-crowded, especially on weekends, and features rips and undertow, making it essential for surfers to be cautious. The atmosphere at Superbanks combines the energy of Snapper, Greenmount, and Kirra, creating a vibrant surf scene. While the walk back after a session can be lengthy (2 km), the stunning views and the lively beach culture, including sunbathing locals, make it worthwhile. The surrounding area offers a relaxed vibe with greenery and trees, perfect for picnics. Although Greenmount has its charm, Superbanks remains the main attraction, especially when conditions align for a thrilling ride.
